A brief summary is then focused on(1)recent progress of the research concerning ion mixing induced amorphization, a phenomenological model proposed by the author for predicting the glass forming ability (GFA) , and the interpretation of GFA as well as the associated spontaneous vitrification in terms of the constructed free energy diagrambased...

This paper presents first a short introduction describing the non-equilibrium characteristics of Ion-Solid Interactions and the experimental uniqueness of Ion Beam Methods. A brief summary is then focused on(1)recent progress of the research concerning ion mixing induced amorphization, a phenomenological model proposed by the author for predicting the glass forming ability (GFA) , and the interpretation of GFA as well as the associated spontaneous vitrification in terms of the constructed free energy diagrambased on thermodynamic calculation. (2)major results obtained by author's group in recent years concerning fractal phenomena studied by ion beam methods, such as fractal pattern formation during amorphous structural phase transition and its metastability, effect of magnetic interaction on the fractal aggregation process, formation of various new fractals in thin solid films, and the first observation of line defects in amorphous solids, i. e. disclination loops with self-similarity, which is an analogue of dislocation in crystalline solids.

本文首先简要地介绍离子束与固体作用的非平衡特点和离子束方法实验上的特色。然后概述了:(1)离子束混合研究非晶化的进展,作者提出的予言金属玻璃形成能力(GFA)的唯象模型,以及根据热力学计算的自由能图对GFA和相关的自发非晶化的诠释。(2)作者的研究组近年里用离子束方法研究分形现象的主要结果,如非晶态结构相变中形成的分形及其亚稳性,磁相互作用对分形凝聚过程的影响,固体薄膜中形成的各种分形新结构,以及首次在非晶态固体中观察到的一种线缺陷,即具有自相似性的旋错环,这种旋错相当于晶体中的位错。

The effect of interaction between particles on fractal aggregation is discussed. According to SAK model, a relation between the fractal dimension and the attractive energy is derived, which indicates that the fractal dimension decreases as the attractive energy increasing. By this conclusion, the existing experimental and computer simulation results are explained.
