This paper describes the preparation of a hot plastic-antimony metal pH electrode as an inner sensing probe of an ammonia sensing electrode. The electrode is simple and convenient to manufacture. The inner resistance of the electrode membrane is low. Repeatability of testing results is good without strict screening of this electrode. Therefore input impedance for corresponding measuring instruments may be lower. The proposed electrode has been used in the analysis of total nitrogen content of soll...

The tissue slice of sheep kidney in conjugation with ammonia gas sensing probes yields a sheep kidney tissue based membrane electrode with a high selectivity for D-amino acids. The tissue electrode has a good linear response to D-alanine in the 3. 0×10~(-5)-1. 0×10~(-3)M range with, detection limit of ca. 2. 0×10(-5)M, and stable activity for at least 12 days under the optimal operations. The performance of the tissue electrode and its analytical functions in practical sample was examined.
