The smoke and gases emitted from a lead smelting plant contain a large amount of sulfur dioxide,and a small amount of lead,copper,zinc,cadmium,and other pollutants,which pollute the air and greatly impair the public health.This paper describes a study on the elimination of the pollutants by removing the harmful dust with a separating process,and then,by leading the gases into an aqueous solution of ammonia to form ammonium sulfite..It was found that if the sulfite formed was used in a small paper mill where...

Some village within 500 m of the uranium tailings poolhave been investigated.The result shows that irradiation dose in the vill-age comes briefty from the external radiation due to the irrigation of pad-dy by using waste water,the internal radiation caused from dating the cont-aminated grain and the concentration of Rn daughters indoor is higherthan that of control.However,the total dose does not exceed limiteddose equialent.

本文对距离尾矿池500米的村庄作了调查,结果认为,该村农民所受剂量主要来自废水灌溉水稻田所致的外照射与食用污染粮食所致的内照射。室内氢子体浓度高于对照点,但总剂量不超过限制剂量当量。
