The ω…α curve from Reference 2 is modified and formula is derived for directly calculating α . The polygonal approximation is also given to approach two curves 1 formulated by sin 3παπ and sin πα+ sin πα tπ . It is shown that the method in this paper has sufficient accuracy and is easy to use.

The approximate relationship expression between the steel distribution and the central angle of the pressed area in the bent member with a circle-cross-section is obtained in the paper. That makes us avoiding the process of solving the singula equation in standard. Moreover,the method presented here is easy to hand calculating.

求得了圆截面受弯构件配筋与受压区圆心角之间的近似关系式,避免解规范公式中的超越方程,便于手算。
