Colored glasses simulating color matching functions x(λ), y(λ), z(λ) have been developed. They are used as single layer filters for spectroradiometry, photometry and colorimetry.Base glasses of alumino-phosphates, alumino-borates and boro-silicates are used and the concentration of colorants as well as their x-effect are studied. The influence of redox conditions, basicity, minor constituents and the combination of base glasses are examined systematically.

The method can be widely applied for camera color measurement and spectral reconstruction etc.
