In this paper, a new method of image compare search engine for fractal coding is proposed, namely using image topology characteristic of Iterative Function System (IFS) and applying to image deposit and retrieval. However, the image produces a lot of data by fractal coding and needs an effective method to retrieval, so this paper is based on Fisher discriminant function to estimate images similarity. Experiment shows image compare search engine can get exactly similar image of query image, it also has been testified better for tolerate-error and can effectively improve adaptivity in practice of image compare search engine.

该文提出一种分形编码的图像比对搜索方法,即把迭代函数系可反映图像的拓扑特性,用于图像的储存和检索.而图像经过分形编码后,得到大量资料,需要一个有效的方法进行检索,文中根据Fisher判别函数来判定图像相似度.实验结果表明,图像比对搜索引擎能准确找出查询图像的相似图像外,还证实本方法对图像有一定的容错性能,能有效地提高图像比对搜索引擎在实际应用中的可适性。

According to the characteristics of reverse engineering, a new method to merge data point cloud of the object surface obtained from different angles. This method firstly sticks some special reference points on the object surface, then recognizes and compares these reference points in images obtained from dirrerent angles to find out those points, which have the same topology characteristic. Finally it uses these common points to match and splice data point cloud. Experiments proved that this method is convenient and can get pretty high accuracy, therefore it is a very advance technique.

We proposed six topology characteristics and geometry characteristics to describe polygons. These characteristics are invariant under affine transformation . According to these characteristics, we gave the definition of homograph and presented a new algorithm for recognizing homograph. We introduced the topological structure to analyze homograph qualitatively, therefore the algorithm is insensitive to noises; and employed geometrical structure to analyze homograph quantitatively, thus the algorithm can show fine discrimination between polygons. It can recognize objects of different shape and distinguish objects that are of the same shape but the different size and scale. Comparing with other recognition algorithms, our algorithm has obtained apparent improvement. The effectiveness of the algorithm is demonstrated by experiments.
