A multilevel decomposition optimization method designed for large scale systems is described. The original system is decomposed into a number of branch shape subsystems; each parent system coordinate its subsystems while the whole system is under the coordination of the top system. Each subsystem is optimized respectively, and coordination optimizations are performed in all levels of parent systems to solve the original problem. Applying this method to large scale optimization may shorten operational time and enhance convergence stability, due to its parallel operation ability and the reduction of operational scale which are both acquired in decomposition. Two examples are also given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.

多级分解优化方法将原系统分解为树枝状分布的多级较小子系统,每一个母体系统协调其下面的若干子系统,整个系统由一个最高级系统来协调。各级子系统在进行各自的优化的基础上,通过母体系统的协调过程最终获得问题的解。由于分解获得的并行运算性能和运算规模的降低,该法在应用于大规模优化问题上可以大大地缩短运算时间,提高设计效率,同时增强了收敛的稳定性。文中提供的算例也表明了该法是有效可行的。

Secondly, from the optimized incremental growth process, a novel reconstruction method of product gene was developed. Finally, the conceptual design of a clamping tool was given as an example to demonstrate the contribution of this method to product principle innovation in conceptual design.
