Dynamic stability of parametrically excited flexible cam - follower system of SDOF is investigated by using the combination of both the method of multiple scales and the technique of Fourier series expansion. It is found that there are many unstable regions around ω0/ωn = 2/k, k = 1, 2, …, where ω0 and ωn are exciting frequency...

The way language expresses a certain semantic domain with surface form like “morpheme”, “word” and “phrase” is called lexicalization. The semantic domain can be analyzed into separate semantic elements. When a simple form expresses the composite meantings of several forms, it is called “semantic incorporation”. The semantic domain of motion event, can be analyzed into “Figure”, “Motion”, “Ground”, “Path”, “Manner”, etc. The surface forms express this domain include “Verb Root”, “Particle”, “Affix”,...

A comparison of the meanings of English and Chinese verbs reveals that incorporation is more common with English verbs. In English teaching, therefore, attention should be called to this difference, so that the students can have a better grasp of English verbs and improve their ability of using the language.

Based on the introduction to motion-event frame, this article makes a classification to the ways of conflations of semantics components into verbs in various languages and then studies their far-reaching consequences for syntactic structures and narrative styles and the difficulties they bring forth to translation. At last the writer points out different mapping system of cognitive model onto linguistic elements is a deep reason why translators face difficulties in translating.

运动事件框架是一种基本的认知模式,不同语言用不同方式表达这一框架。表达方式的差异源于不同语言中动词语义合并方式的差异。本文在介绍运动事件框架的基础上,对不同语言中动词语义合并方式作了分类比较,并且深入探讨合并方式对句法结构和叙述效果的影响及给翻译带来的难题,指出不同语言中认知框架成分与语言要素之间的映射系统的差异是造成翻译难题的一个深层原因。
