This paper presents a new concept in constructing a process controller. The con-cept is derived from a thorough study of the conditions necessary to realize the optimalcontrol process, regardless of the situation whether the controller is to function as a regu-lator or as a servomechanism. In operatoin, it functions on the combined actions. of linear(proportional) and nonlinear(logic) systems contained in its structure. It is composedof two principle blocks, namely, the control function block and the decision makingblock. After receiving signals from the controlled process, the decision making block qui-ckly makes decision as to what kind of commard (ON or OFF) should be sent tothe functional block, while the functional block, having received command from theprevious block, will faithfully execute appropriate actions according to the nature of thecommand it receives. Detailed theoretical analysis and computation revealed that the linear and nonlinear parts of the controller complement each other to such a degree as wasnever possible in conventional controller commercially available to this data. For the purpose of verifying the working principle of the ESO controller, anelectronic model is constructed. Large number of tests were run on this model andoscilloscopie pictures were taken. Comparison. between data collected from this systemand those obtained from theoretical analysis indicated excellent agreement betweentheory and experiments.

A brief description of M/D card and FPP associated with 8/16 processor is given inthis paper. A block diagram of M/D card and simplified examples are presented to explainthe process of multiplication and division. How FPP receives commands from and exchangdata with 8/16 is also explained. Such issues as synchrolization, equalization, normaliza-tion and floating point operations are discusscd. A SCR firing pulse controller adopting the STD BUS standard is introduced. Based on the MCS 8031 single chip microprocessor, the controller can be either used as a complete control system when working in independent mode, thus, meeting the requirements of simple control, or used as a base unit of a complex control system when working in servant mode, in which the base unit receives command and data from the main computer and sends equal-interval firing pulses to SCR.

本文介绍了一种采用STD总线标准的通用可控硅触发脉冲控制器。该控制器采用8031单片机,具有较强功能,既可单独构成完整的控制系统,又可作为复杂控制系统的最低层控制。
