The salt content within 1m soil layer is positively linearly correlated with the degree of mineralization of ground water. When the salt content of soil is 1g kg~(-1), the degree of mineralization is 4.6g L~(-1). Thus, the degree of mineralization 4g L~(-1) is recommended as the boundary to distinguish between saline soil and non-saline soil in this region.
