According to the investigation on geomorphology, stratum, hydrogeology condition and fea tures of landslide mass in the area of Huangtu-Ridge, the paper gives two causes why landslide comes into being. The internal cause is swell-shrinking behavilour of the shallow part of slope wash, the external cause is that the excavation of the slope foundation leads to unstability of the slop. It determines that the landslide belongs to retrogressive medium-shallow small slide. Its shear strength is 15kPa (φ= 0)....

According to the investigation on geomorphology, stratum, hydrogeology condition and fea tures of landslide mass in the area of Huangtu-Ridge, the paper gives two causes why landslide comes into being. The internal cause is swell-shrinking behavilour of the shallow part of slope wash, the external cause is that the excavation of the slope foundation leads to unstability of the slop. It determines that the landslide belongs to retrogressive medium-shallow small slide. Its shear strength is 15kPa (φ= 0). The landslide is only in a temporary stable situation. Changes of climate (such as rainfall) or excavation of foundation will certainly cause the landslide moving on. Only through realignment, it can keep stable. The paper also proposes several precautions (such as filling cracks, construction of slide-resistant pile, etc.) and points out that it's neces sary to strengthen the testing of swell-shrinking behaviour of the residual-slope clay.

岩口滑坡位于贵州省印江县城东4.1km。1996年9月18日从印江河左岸高速下滑,阻断印江河,形成高达50m以上,体积168.08万m3的堆积体和库容达6250万m3的堰塞水库。滑床上42.22万m3残留体与滑床右侧陡崖壁上残存的4~5万m3危岩体均处于不稳定状态,变形破坏发展迅速。岩口滑坡使6万人的生命和24亿元财产受到严重威胁。本文介绍该滑坡特征及所采用的开凿导流洞疏排水库积水,对堆积体进行放坡加固,对危岩体进行松动爆破清除,对蠕滑变形的残留体进行截排地表水与抗滑支挡等综合整治工程措施。现在,整治工程已初步达到了预期的减灾抗灾目的。
