This paper deals with the biological effects on the Yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae AS 2. 1189 irradiated by He - Ne laser in different amount of irradiation dosages. The results show that He - Ne laser not only can give rise to physiological stimulating effects on the sprout, the growth and the physiological metabolism of ethanol of the Yeast, but also can cause the mutation of the Yeast, among which two good mutagenic wtrains have been screened.

应用He-Ne激光的不同剂量辐照处理甘蔗糖蜜酒精工业生产用酿酒酵母菌来研究He-Ne激光对酿酒酵母菌的生物效应。结果发现:He-Ne激光对酵母菌细胞的芽殖、生长及生理代谢等方面具有刺激效应;同时发现He-Ne激光对酵母菌具有诱变作用,并已筛选到2株优良变异菌株。
