OPAK05 940 was linked to another lint percent locus contributed by TM 1 and can explain the phenotypic variation by 7.6%. Additionally, thr ee morpholo gical markers associated with variation in lint percent were identified. The all ele at T 1 increased the lint percent while the allele at brown color fiber ( L C1 ) decreased the lint percent, and can explain the phenotypic vari ation by 3.57% , and 3.85% , respectively. Naked seed ( N 1 ) had a huge negative effect on the lint percent and caused about 43.26% lint percent loss.
