Recovery indium from waste ITO (Indium-Tin-Oxide) target was studied by hydrochloric acid dissolving, aluminium substituting and electrolyzing. The influential factors for acid dissolubility, separating indium and tin and electrolysis of indium were discussed. It is concluded that waste ITO target has a good dissolvability in hydrochloric acid with the quantity of hydrochloric acid being 1.5~3 times more than the theoretical one, and the optimum temperature for dissolving is 85 ℃, at which the ITO target dissolves...

The influential factors for acid dissolubility, separating indium and tin and electrolysis of indium were discussed. It is concluded that waste ITO target has a good dissolvability in hydrochloric acid with the quantity of hydrochloric acid being 1.5~3 times more than the theoretical one, and the optimum temperature for dissolving is 85 ℃, at which the ITO target dissolves quickly and thoroughly. When the temperature of solution reaches 50 ℃, Sn 4+ in the solution could be substituted by indium, then In 3+ may be substituted by small pieces of sheet-aluminum. The recovery rate of unrefined indium can achieve 97%. The optimum condition of electrolysis of unrefined indium as follows temperature is 25 ℃, pH 2.5, current density 60~80 A·m -2, voltage 330~350 mV. The indium with a purity 99.995%, and the overall recovery rate of indium 93% are obtained.

以ITO(Indium Tin Oxide)废靶材为原料进行盐酸溶解、铝置换和电解 ,以回收金属铟。讨论了酸溶解、铟锡分离和电解的影响因素。得出用盐酸溶解 ,用量为理论用量的 1.5~ 3倍 ,溶解温度在 85℃时 ,靶材溶解迅速彻底。溶液温度为 5 0℃时 ,用金属铟置换溶液中锡离子 ,再用薄铝片将铟离子置换出来 ,粗铟的回收率可达到 97%。粗铟电解的最佳条件是 [In] =5 0~ 10 0 g·L- 1 ,温度 2 5℃ ,pH值 2 .5 ,电流密度 60~ 80A·m- 2 ,槽电压 3 3 0~ 3 5 0mV ,电解得到纯度 99.995 %的金属铟 ,金属铟总的回收率大于 93 %。
