From neotectonic activity and earthquake mechanism we conclude, this region has been controlled by NEE-SWW regional principle compressive stress since the late Tertiary and Quaternary, so the neotectonic activity has been dominated by horizontal she- aring, and associated with tilting and constrained block motion on the basis of the original elevation and subsidence. The seismicity in this region appe- ars as zonal distribution, is obviously controlled by Taihang mountain pie- dmont fault zone and Cangdong-Liaokao fault zone, and forms Taihartg moun- tain piedmont and Cangdong-Liaokao seismic belts. The intersecting of the NWW-striking faults is usually as a specific earthquake-induced condition. It seems that, under the influence of the constrained motion of Neihuang rise block, the major strong and moderate earthquakes in this region symmetrically distribute around this block.

晋冀鲁豫交界地区是华北地块一级构造单元。该单元处于太行山断块、冀鲁断块、皖豫断块的交汇部位,是北东—北北东向的太行山山前断裂带、沧东—聊考断裂带与北西向的磁县—大名断裂、新乡—商丘断裂的扭结区,并构成以内黄隆起为中心的,西、东两侧隆起,北、南两边沉陷的鞍状构造。从新构造活动及地震震源机制分析得出:本区自第三纪末—第四纪以来受北东东—南西西方向的区域主压应力的控制,故新构造活动在保留原有升降运动的基础上,以水平扭动为主,并伴有掀斜升隆及块体的框动。本区地震活动呈显明的条带分布,明显地受太行山山前断裂带及沧东—聊考断裂带的控制,构成太行山东麓地震活动区及沧东—聊考地震活动区。而北西西向断裂的切错常成为具体的发震条件。可能由于内黄隆起块体的框动的影响,本区重要的强震及中强震围绕着它呈中心对称分布。

In this article, by use of the advanced technique of electron microprobe analysis, minor-element distribution, (Rb-Sr age method), plastic deformation of minerals and micro-texture of rock, through the study on petrogenesis and minerogenesis as well as petrofabrics, we have discovered and studied the mantlederived spinel lherzolite and its partial melting residual body or residual minerals of ultrabasic rock from the ophiolite belts Some rocks of different genesis pos sess their own relevant to texture characteristic of polystage and polygenesis, and have a bearing on fault structure too. Hence, we have advanced the view of "gentic model of anatectic differention", and probed into the tectonic location and anatectic differentiation as well as its formative mechanism and evolution. We think that ore-forming chromium element mainly came from molten monoclinic pyroxene, concentration of ore could be temproally divided into two stages of deposits of the early in conjunction with later and accordingly formed two original types of deposits: namely, shallow-seated bean pod (rich)ore deposits and deep—seated layer-like(lean)ones. We have deduced seven rock bodies or areas which are in favour of mineralization and worthy of the prospecting for mineral deposits, according to the above-mentioned study and recognition.
