Then,the article designs a whole structure of software and hardware which WLAN is used in embedded system. The keystone of hardware's circuit is on designing the master board used by S3C2410X MPU and Embedded WLAN card which designed independently by SIS163U,the master board and Embedded WLAN card is connected by the USB port.
During the thesis work, I have accomplished the following work: (1)Definition of the whole architecture of WLAN card under Window operating system, including the framework of NDIS(Network Driver Interface Standard), on-chip bus hardware and firmware design of the MAC.
The implementation architecture of WLAN card which is a real time system is discussed, mainly on the MAC controller. The card based on a SOC architecture is developed using the tool of EDK provided by Xilinx , including MicroBlaze 32-bit soft processor core and some custom IP.
