    In this paper the characteristics of hydraulic resistance of bamboo pipes which are widely used in temporary water supply systems in China are analyzed. By cutting away the diaphragm on the bamboo joints, the pipe is formed by the hollow stem of bamboo. It is indicated in this paper that the resistance of such a pipe is caused by the skin friction of the inner wall surface of the hollow stem and the form drag of the diaphragm remaining on every joint.     In this paper the characteristics of hydraulic resistance of bamboo pipes which are widely used in temporary water supply systems in China are analyzed. It is indicated in this paper that the resistance of such a pipe is caused by the skin friction of the inner wall surface of the hollow stem and the form drag of the diaphragm remaining on every joint. Because the joints are numerous, the effect of the form drag may be considered as skin friction. Terefore, the total resistance can be expressed by the skin friction factor λ. It is found on the basis of numerous laboratory tests that the friction factor λ is a function of Renolds number of flow through the pipe, relative roughness of inner wall surface of the hollow stem, the height of the remaining part of the diaphragm, the distance between two joints and the diameter of the pipe. In this paper the formula for λ in the region of quadratic law of resistance is given and the empirical value of λ is listed.

    本文阐明在我国临时性供水系统中广泛应用的竹管的水流阻力的特性。 经过把竹节处的隔膜铲除后,空心的竹杆构成管道。文中指出这种管道的水流阻力是由竹管的内壁的摩擦阻力和每小竹节的隔膜铲除后的残留部分绕流阻力组成的。因竹节数量很多,全部绕流阻力的效果与加强的摩擦阻力相似。所以总阻力可以表述为摩擦阻力并用摩擦阻力系数λ来表征。 根据大量的试验研究,我们找出阻力系数λ是雷诺数、管壁的相对粗糙、被铲除隔膜的残余部分的高度、竹节的间距以及管径的函数。为了管路的设计,文中给出了在平方阻力区内的阻力系数λ的公式和λ的经验数据。
