    本文考虑了Rossby参数β随纬度的变化并引进了γ参数γ≡-dβ/dy=2Ωsin(?)/a~2.同时把β平面近似扩展为含γ参数的近似:f=f_0+β_0y-γ_0y~2/2.这就更接近实际,特特是在较高纬度地区.本文着重研究了γ参数对Rossby波的作用.研究指出:γ参数在较高纬地区有较强的作用.它可以形成纯γ参数所产生的Rossby波,并给出了在一般情况下的包含β变化的Rossby波相速公式,它在γ_0=0时退化为著名的Rossby公式.研究还指出:考虑了β的变化,即便基本气流(?)是y的线性函数也可以出现不稳定,但γ参数通常对Rossby波起稳定的作用.而且,它影响Rossby波的经向尺度和等位相线的结构,但都减缓Rossby波的增长或衰减.

    n the basis of the works of Tan et al. (1988) and Xu (1996) on the nonlinear waves in the stratified atmosphere by using the methods of the semigeostrophic approximation and the travelling wave solution, the stability of the solutions of the nonlinear equation and its approximate series equation, the existence condition of the wave solution and some characteristics of the waves are discussed in this paper. The results are: (1) near the equilibrium point, substituting the solution of nonlinear equation with that of its approximate series equation is reasonable; (2) the solutions of the cnoidal waves and solitary waves are existant when the initial enstrophy satisfy certain conditions; (3) the period, wavelength in xdirection, amplitude of the cnoidal waves, and the wavewidth, amplitude of solitary waves are obtained; (4) the wavewidth and amplitude of the solitary waves are concernd with not only the wave velocity but also the Rossby parameter and the stratification stability. Under the certain condition, the wavewidth of the mixed Rossbygravity solitary wave moving westward is less than that of inertial gravity solitary wave moving eastward, but the amplitude is bigger.

    On the basis of analysis on dynamic and thermal effects of large scale topography of Qinghai Xizang Plateau we will focus to analyze the effect of slope and diabatic heating of Qinghai Xizang Plateau on the 2 D Rossby wave. It is shown that the effect of topography slope of Qinghai Xizang Plateau on Rossby wave is equivalent to the effect of Rossby parameter; it is a circle between phase velocity and group velocity (c gx -c x) 2+c 2 gy =R 2; and the heating effect is just equivalent to the effect of horizontal convergence. The slope and biabatic heating will make 2 D Rossby wave turning into low frequency wave.
