This paper may be utilized as a reference for those who are engaged in the development of variable-thrust liquid propellant rocket engine and liquid venturi flowmeters.

The phenomena of gas bubble pumping in the ladle stirred by gas injection was studied in this work.A plume model has been suggested to describe such a phenomena.The plume model gives the possibility to quantitatively analyse the relation between the stirring intensity and the energy supplied by gas.In such a case the buoyancy to bubbles are the cardinal forces in liquid and,therefore,the initial momentum of gas flow can be considered as negligible.It follows that the momentum...

The phenomena of gas bubble pumping in the ladle stirred by gas injection was studied in this work.A plume model has been suggested to describe such a phenomena.The plume model gives the possibility to quantitatively analyse the relation between the stirring intensity and the energy supplied by gas.In such a case the buoyancy to bubbles are the cardinal forces in liquid and,therefore,the initial momentum of gas flow can be considered as negligible.It follows that the momentum flux of gas-liquid flow in Z-section Mz should be equal to the buoyancy to bubbles.whereBased on the experimental determination of some parameters of the liquid flow in a 60 t ladle,a formula to determine the amount of liquid entrained by gas bubble pumping has been obtained.It has been found that the entrain-ment efficient of the gas bubble pump is surprisingly large.Under a normal stirring process,the volumetrical entrainment ratio(entrained liquid volume to the volume of stirring gas) was found to be about 50~200.Considering the big difference of the density between argon and steel,1 kg of argon can induce about 500,000 kg of steel from the lower part of a 60 t ladle to its upper surface as the gas flow rate is 0.5m3/min.From the view of industrial application,the circulating period of liquid steel in a 60 t ladle stirred by Ar can be assumed to be about 20~35 sec and the mixing time should be no more than 1.0~1.5 min.

本文研究了钢包喷吹时,供入气流而造成钢液强烈搅动的气泡泵现象。为研究这一现象提出了一种全浮力模型。模型提供了定量分析钢液被搅动的程度和供入能量之间关系的基础。通过在60t钢包内液流速度的实际测定,获得了单位时间内因受气泡泵的作用而进入循环的钢液量与供入气体流量和熔池深度的关系式。这种气泡泵作用的效率是很高的,在正常喷吹条件下,1kg惰性气体(Ar)可以使重量比本身大50万倍左右的钢液向上运动而进入循环。已经发现,对60t钢包内喷吹氩气时,包内钢液对流循环的周期只需20~35 sec,加入物料达到足够均匀所需的混合时间约1.0~1.5 min。
