In the excimer laser carburizing process reported here, aluminum alloy samples have been treated in a propylene atmosphere, producing aluminum carbide surface layers.
      


In this paper,the structure and propertics of laser carburizing layer were studied by optical microscopy, XRD, electron microprobe and hardness test. The results indicated that the microstructure depend on the laser parametor and the thickness of graphite layer. The profil structurc consist of molten zone, the light etching region and the martensitic HAZ, There are hardening effects in the molten zone.

本文用光学显微镜、X射线衍射仪、电子探针和硬度试验,对激光渗碳层的组织性能及其影响因素进行了研究。结果指出,激光渗碳层剖面组织由针状的熔化区、“亮带”、热影响区组成,且取决于激光工艺参数及预涂石墨层厚度,熔化区为高碳区,具有明显的硬化效果。

A new heat treatment method that combines carburizing or siliconizing with laser hardening treatment in the salt solution was adopted. Experimental result shows that after laser carburizing and laser siliconizing, the carbon and silicon content in the low carbon steel 20 # surface increases by twice as original steel. The wear resistance of laser carburizing and laser siliconizing samples is increased 4~7.5 times as original steel. The test of static corrosion in the 10% H 2SO 4 solution for 240 hours shows that the corrosion resistance of steel 20 # after laser siliconizing is about 40% larger than original steel.

在盐溶液中 ,利用激光对 2 0 # 钢表面进行渗碳、渗硅和相变硬化相结合 ,实现了在对低碳钢表面化学渗碳、渗硅的同时 ,完成激光表面淬火处理。研究表明 ,2 0 # 钢在盐溶液中激光渗碳、渗硅后 ,可将材料表面的碳、硅含量增加 2倍 ;渗层具有一定厚度 ,主要由马氏体和贝氏体组成 ,试样表面的硬度提高到原试样的 2 5~ 3倍 ,耐磨性可达到处理前的 4~ 7 5倍。在浓度为 10 %的H2 SO4溶液中 ,静态腐蚀 2 4 0h后的实验表明 ,2 0 # 钢在经过激光渗硅化学热处理后 ,抗腐蚀能力可提高 4 0 %左右。
