    On the basis of a proposed reaction mechanism for cementation of copper from its aqueous solution by means of metallic iron, the authors suggested a method employing fluidized iron pellets for recovering copper on an industrial scale.During the initial stage of the reaction, the rate of cementation conforms to a firstorder reaction controlled mainly by the concentration of copper ion at the iron-copper boundary. As cementation proceeds, however, metallic copper collects as a porous layer on the iron, and diffusion...

    On the basis of a proposed reaction mechanism for cementation of copper from its aqueous solution by means of metallic iron, the authors suggested a method employing fluidized iron pellets for recovering copper on an industrial scale.During the initial stage of the reaction, the rate of cementation conforms to a firstorder reaction controlled mainly by the concentration of copper ion at the iron-copper boundary. As cementation proceeds, however, metallic copper collects as a porous layer on the iron, and diffusion of copper ion through this layer becomes the rate-controlling step of the process.Experiments on cementation of copper in a conical bed of fluidized iron pellets indicate that the copper layer formed peels off continuously as a result of the turbulent motion of the stream and mutual collision of the iron pellets, and is thus carried away by the flowing liquid from the reaction zone. The adoption of the conical bed insures complete fluidization of all the iron pellets having a wide particle-size range which results from their different residence time in the cementation reactor. The operation of a fluidized cementator is simple and is particularly adaptable to automation. When cast iron beads are used, 90% of the copper contained in a 0.1% Cu~(2+) solution is recovered at an operating temperature of 75℃ during an average solution residence time of 20 seconds.

The forms in whieh the casting defects appeared are various and often rather complex,hence the causes of their formation are also different.But most of them are due to shrinkage defects and oxide inclusions,shrinkage defects can be divided into many kinds,such as concentrated contraction cavity,dispersed...

    The causes of forming shrinkage defects and oxide inclusion defects frequently found in the production of Al-Si alloy castings have been analyzed,and the means of how to prevent them have been discussed also. The forms in whieh the casting defects appeared are various and often rather complex,hence the causes of their formation are also different.But most of them are due to shrinkage defects and oxide inclusions,shrinkage defects can be divided into many kinds,such as concentrated contraction cavity,dispersed porosity,external shrinkage defects,shrinkage cracks,blow-holes combined with shrinkage holes,etc.Oxide inclusion defects can be divided into:beehive-like slag-holes beneath the skin,inclusions in the surface layer,agglomerated inclusions in castings after machining,local penetrated porous inclusions etc.After analyzed the causes of the above mentioned defects,the author has discussed the effects of alloy compositions,contraction characteristic,aluminum oxide content,temperature of the melt,thickness of the casting,pouring system,assembling of moulds, melting quality of the alloy and other factors to the formation of the above defects.The character of different defects,the position of their formation,the means of prevention and their effects have also been described. According to his production practice,the author introduces a reasonable pouring system by which the flowing liquid can exclude the slag steadi'y and possesses certain contraction compensa- ting ability;it can reduce the assembling clearance of the mould and the gas exited from the core. By adding a plug to the pouring cup and strictly controlling the melting quality of the alloy,the aluminum melt may be free from oxide contamination and gas absorption.When the alloy is mel- ted,it should not be overheated too much and kept too long.To proceed the degassing,refining and modifying treatments correctly,the shrinkage defects and oxide inclusion defects can be eliminated and sound castings can be produced.

    本文重点分析了在铝硅合金铸件生产中常见的收缩缺陷和氧化夹渣缺陷产生的原因,以及讨论了如何防止问题。铸件缺陷的表现形式是多种多样的,甚至是错综复杂的,形成的原因也是各有不同,而其中大部分是由于收缩和氧化夹渣所致。收缩缺陷可分为集中收缩孔,分散性缩松,外部缩陷,缩裂和气孔-缩孔联合形式等缺陷;氧化夹渣缺陷可分为皮下蜂窝状渣孔,整个断口上的夹渣,麦面氧化夹渣层,加工后铸件中成团簇的夹渣和局部穿透的疏松夹渣等缺陷。本文分析了以上各种缺陷形成的原因后,论述了合金成分及其收缩特性,凝固特性,氧化铝含量,熔液温度,铸件壁厚,浇洼系统,铸型装配和合金熔化质量等因素对产生缺陷的影响。并论述了各种缺陷的特征,产生部位,采取措施及其效果。作者根据生产实践,介绍了合理的浇注系统,使液流平稳撇渣,且具有一定补缩能力,此外,作者认为应减少铸型的装配间隙,降低型芯发气量,浇口杯加以堵塞,严密地控制合金的熔化质量,使合金熔化时铝液不受氧化物沾污和吸收气体,合金熔化时不能过热太甚和持续时间太久,正确进行除气,精炼和变质处理等才能解决收缩缺陷和氧化夹渣缺陷,制造出优质的铸件。
