抗病甸11是黑龙江省农科院育种所,于1979年用原甸骨11A(重感玉米大斑病系)做母本,以单基因抗源ROH43Htl为父本杂交后,于1980~1988年先后经8个世代的回交、自交、测配转育而成。该系对玉米大斑病表现为单基因抗病,经流行年份人工接菌鉴定,平均发病级为0.8级,比原甸骨11A病级降低3.5级,杂交配合力较改良前提高4.3~13.3%,抗茎腐病、抗倒伏力明显增强;次生果穗多,雄花分枝特少等不良吐状得到很好改良;株高、穗位、抗丝黑穗病力以及果穗其它性状均与原甸骨11A基本相似或略好,但成熟期延长3~4天。自1988年正式繁育生产后,凡含有原甸骨11A亲本的组合抗病性都逐步开始得到改良。例如龙辐玉1号、龙单1号、龙单5号等杂交种都已先后配成抗病组合,经全省各地试验、示范和生产应用,均表现抗大斑病和茎腐病,而且产量也较原杂交种有所提高。

1989~1993年利用当地主要致病菌──禾生腐霉菌和禾谷镰刀菌的新鲜菌剂,采用伤根法对436份自交系和53份杂交种进行了人工接菌试验及其杂交种与自交系间抗性遗传关系的研究。结果表明:同亲缘的姊妹系对玉米茎腐病的抗性表现基本相同,利用含有一个高抗亲本的二环材料不一定能选出高抗新品系来,而应用含有两个抗病亲本的二环材料却易育成高抗系;玉米自交系对茎腐病的抗性与对其它病害的抗性无“拮抗”作用,杂交种F1代对茎腐病的抗病指数一般表现出优于其双亲平均抗病值;杂交种F1代对茎腐病的抗感病性多趋向于母本的抗感病性。
