Subaqueous construction was carried out through precast concrete mould plates and large-sized steel mould plates. In the first stage, the left-hand side of the narrowed mainstream was used for navigation. The second--stage cofferdams was design to hold 18000m3/s discharge. its upstream cofferdam was a roller compacted concrete dam, while its downstream cofferdam was earth-rock overtopped cofferdam with clay core. the overflow surface was wide step facing. In the second stage, a temporary ship lock was built in the middle dam section for navigation.

Comparison with the results of theoretical calculation and model examination shows the method presented herein is reasonable.

本文系统分析了影响土石过水围堰溢流工况的主要因素 ,提出衡量最不利工况的指标和确定最不利流量的方法 ,为土石过水围堰堰体下游护坡结构及消能防冲设施设计提供了理论依据。通过理论计算结果与模型试验现场观测资料数据对比分析 ,说明提出的过水期最不利流量判别方法是符合实际情况的
