Methods IDD surveillance data in Sichuan province in 1995,1997 and 1999 were used to establish multilevel models that were used to analysis variations of children's urine iodine in different levels and factors that related to urine iodine content.
Conclusion The individual and regional differences of population iodine status in Sichuan province were effectively explained by applications of multilevel modeling that may be important applications in geographic distribution of disease.
It will be shown that the parameters of the two-parameter normal ogive model and the multilevel model can be estimated in a Bayesian framework using Gibbs sampling.
For evaluating the quality of a multilevel model, a rescaled statistic is given for both the hierarchical linear model and the hierarchical structural equation model.
It will be shown that the multilevel model with measurement error in the observed predictor variables can be estimated in a Bayesian framework using Gibbs sampling.
Our results provide support for a social-relational view of work and demonstrate the usefulness of multilevel models as an analytic strategy for examining these issues.
We propose a unifying framework for multilevel modeling of polytomous data and rankings, accommodating dependence induced by factor and/or random coefficient structures at different levels.
This paper distinguishes among three types of random variables in multilevel modeling-model disturbances, random coefficients, and future response outcomes-and provides a unified procedure for predicting them.
To probe into the vegetal pattern and find out the key period of promoting normal growth of term small for gestational age (TSGA), a longitudinal study on growth model and velocity of TSGA was conducted from Jan 1993 to June 1997. The body weight and length of 150 children of TSGA (57 boys, 93 girls) and 152 children as controls (58 boys, 94 girls )were measured from the 1st month to 36th month. The growth model was analysed by multilevel models. The result showed that there was a difference between the gro...
In this article, the influence of factors related to different levels (seg, provincial, county and household) on the proportion of protein intake from animal food was evaluated by using multi level modeling. It was found that after being adjusted by individual factors, the factors related to the household, such as household income, dietary habit and knowledge of nutrition were the most important factors affecting the individual's showed animal protein intake. In addition, the results showed that the differ...
Objective:to explore the applicability of the multivariate multilevel model to Meta Analysis; Methods:focusing on the property of some Meta analysis data with two effect magnitudes,to fit two-level model with two responses to estimate parameters and to make prediction; Results:with the fitted model, estimates of two mean effect magnitudes with their correlation, and affecting factors were obtained simultaneously; Conclusion:when more than one effect magnitudes exist in data of Meta-analysis,multivariate multilev...
