By using 3-D gravity forward calculation,we obtained the deep gravity anomalies of Tai-wan from its Bouguer anomaly.Its depth corresponds to the lower crust. Correlation andanalysis results show that the shape of contour lines of the deep gravity anomaly well charac-terizes the modern tectonic landform of taiwan.On the Eastern,Northeastern and Western foothills in Taiwan there are typical offsetstreams and the contour lines of deep gravity anomalies also appear synchronously withbend,reflectiong the dislocation...

The Taiwan Strait is a part of the continental-margin rift of eastern China, which can tectonically be divided into the Taiwan Strait Basin and southwestern Taiwan Basin and the Penhu-Beigang Uplift. The Taiwan Strait is a part of the continental-margin rift of eastern China, which can tectonically be divided into the Taiwan Strait Basin and southwestern Taiwan Basin and the Penhu-Beigang Uplift. The basins are structurally divided into the semi-graben down-faulted and downwarped-faulted ones. The maximum thickness of the Cretaceous-Cenozoic strata in the central parts of the basins is above 10000 metres. The formation and development of the Taiwan Strait rift were not only affected by both the East China Sea Basin and South China Sea Basin, but also closely related to the Central Range Collision Orogen of Taiwan. In the Cenozoic the evolution of the Taiwan Strait area experienced, under the influence of tectonic mechanisms, three stages: poly-central down-faulting, downwarped-faulting and foreland basin formation. The sedimentary centres of the basins migrated from west to east during the Tertiary, resulting in thinning of Palaeogene strata from west to east, and the thickness of Neogene strata is on the contrary. All these determined the geologic conditions of petroleum formation in the Taiwan Strait.

台湾海峡是中国东部大陆边缘裂陷的一部分,在构造上划分为两盆一隆,即台湾海峡盆地、台西南盆地和澎湖-北港隆起。盆地的结构以半地堑式断陷为特征。盆地内的白垩系——新生代沉积最厚愈万米。台湾海峡裂陷的形成和发展,既受东海和南海盆地的影响,也与中央山脉碰撞造山带密切相关。在多重机制影响下,海峡地区在新生代演化中,经历了多中心断陷—坳断—前陆盆地三大阶段。盆地的沉积中心在时空上呈自西向东的迁移,造成下第三系厚度西厚东薄,而上第三系的厚度则反之。这种特征决定了台湾海峡油气形成的地质条件。
