A new method to construct LDPC codes based on cyclic difference sets of combinatorics was proposed. A large number of regular LDPC codes could be generated, with the same column weight and the same row weight. And this method could eliminate the cycles with length equal to four and decrease the ones with length equal to six. Sum-product decoding algorithm was used to decode the new constructed LDPC codes and simulation results showed that they exhibit good performance.

提出了一种由组合数学中的循环差集构造LDPC码的新方法,它能产生大量的列重和行重均为恒定值的规则码,并且可以排除圈长为4的圈和减少圈长等于6的圈。利用和积译码算法通过计算机仿真验证了这种码字具有优良的特性。

Low density convolution codes (LDCC) are generated from the low density parity-check codes (LDPC) through a shift transform of the LDPC generating matrix into a band generating matrix, and share the benefit of lower bit error rate (BER) with other convolution codes. This article shows that the sum-product decoding algorithm for the LDCC can be improved with a local probabilistic propagation algorithm. A pipeline implementation is proposed. With this implementation, the local probabilistic propagation decoding algorithm, when applied to the LDCC case, obtains performance near to that of the sum-product decoding, whilst its decoding latency is significantly decreased, its decoder simplified and runs fast.

低密度卷积码(LDCC)是低密度码(LDPC)经由其产生矩阵的侧滑变换成为带状产生矩阵而得到的,具有LDPC和卷积码的误码性能好等一些共同特征。LDCC码的和积算法译码方法可以进一步改进为局部概率传播译码方法。采用流水线结构的局部概率传播译码方法用于LDCC码得到了接近和积算法的译码性能,而且译码延迟比LDPC大为降低,译码器更为简单,便于实时工作。
