Owing to the limitation of technique means in the past, designs and calculations for fillet weld which are mostly based on some given hypotheses are not the same in-depth studies as steel member and differ greatly from practices, thus many correlative problems can be commented.
The reasons of seriously cracking met on fillet welds between Cr5Mo boronized steel tubes and 1Cr18Ni9Ti baffle plate is analyzed. The methods to prevent cracking from the fillet welds and effective measures to obtain good quality are introduced.
