The densification behavior during reactive sintering of compacted Ti/Al composite powders prepared by high energy ball milling was experimentally investigated,and the thermodynamics and kinetics aspects were theoretically analyzed The results show that high energy ball milling promotes the sintering densification process more effectively than other means,such as increasing the applied pressure,enhancing the sintering temperature,or prolonging the sintering time The longer the milling time is,the higher the relative density of the as sintered specimen The relative density of the TiAl alloy obtained by two step pressureless reactive sintering,i e ,630℃×2h pre sintering and 1250℃×8h final sintering,of the compacted Ti/Al composite powders milled for 3h was found to be as high as 99 87% The above effect of ball milling on the sintering densification behavior of the Ti/Al composite powders can be attributed both to the refinement of the Ti,Al reactant phases and their crystallite grains,and to the enhanced stored energy in the powders due to lattice distortion and defects,which are responsible for the increase of the sintering driving force and kinetics factor,the shortening of the elemental diffusion distance,and the elimination of the kirkendall porosity

研究高能球磨Ti/Al复合粉反应烧结过程的致密行为 ,并进行反应烧结热力学和动力学分析。结果表明 ,与增加烧结压力、提高烧结温度或延长烧结时间的作用相同 ,高能球磨对Ti/Al粉末体反应烧结过程的致密化具有促进作用 ,且效果更加显著。球磨时间越长 ,烧结体越致密。球磨 3h的Ti/Al复合粉坯料经6 30℃× 2h预烧、12 5 0℃× 8h无压烧结后 ,获得的TiAl基合金试样的致密度高达 99 87%。球磨对Ti/Al粉末体反应烧结时致密化的促进作用 ,主要是由于Ti、Al反应组元及其晶粒尺寸的细化 ,晶格畸变能增加 ,从而显著提高了烧结驱动力和烧结动力学因子 ,缩短了反应扩散距离 ,抑制了kirkendall孔隙的形成。

The increasing content of VC and Cr_3C_2 composite grain growth inhibitors is not beneficial to improving densification. The new grain growth inhibitor A was proved to inhibit grain growth more effectively. The density of 14.48 g/cm~3 and the grain size of about 180 nm can be achieved at 1 375 ℃ after 30 min from nano-grained WC-10Co-0.8VC/Cr_3C_2-0.2A composite powders.

研究了机械合金化纳米晶WC 10Co复合粉末的真空烧结致密化行为和一般规律。结果表明:烧结温度的提高和烧结时间的延长有利于样品的烧结致密化过程,在1275~1300℃致密化速度快,在1300℃,15min左右致密化过程已基本完成;VC、Cr3C2等复合晶粒长大抑制剂含量的增加不利于致密化过程;新型晶粒长大抑制剂A可以更有效地阻碍晶粒长大;纳米晶WC 10Co 0.8VC/Cr3C2 0.2A复合粉末压坯在1375℃,30min烧结条件下,所得的密度为14.48g/cm3,晶粒尺寸约为180nm。
