During the development of oil reservoir, it's difficulty to estimate the reservoir pressure as the rock permeability, porosity and well drainage area change all the time.

According to this concept an equation is derived from diagram, which proves that well drainage area of the positive mini-structure wells is generally larger than that of the negative mini-structure wells, and thus the positive mini-structure wells have a yield higher than that of the negative ministructure wells.
