While poloidal gaps make the vertical and horizontal fields generated by the eddy currents change periodically in the toroidal direction,toroidal gaps have no effect on the vertical field,but drastically reduce the horizontal field.

In this paper, using the variometer data of Changli station and Baijiatuan station from 1972 to 1997, the inter station transfer functions of horizontal field and the single station transfer functions of vertical field have been calculated.

With analyzing the whole changing process of the transfer functions, we have discovered that only the horizontal field transfer functions arose obvious short term precursors before Tangshan earthquake.

Applying 3 dimension finite difference method,the distribution characteristics of horizontal field transfer functions for rectangular conductor have been computed,and the law of distribution for Re part and Im part has been given. The influences of source field period,the conductivity,the buried depth and the length of the conductor on the transfer functions were studied.

Through studying the same system,finite element method and finite/infinite element coupling method are used to analyze the influence on the(result) what is concluded by the different vertical field and horizontal field of finite element in the finite/infinite element system.

By using two existent vertical correct magnets with horizontal field less than 100 Gauss, the exposed area of the Xray lithography wafer increases from 3 5mm to 14mm and no distortion occurs in the closed orbit out of the two magnets.

Finally some typical calculation results of the reflection properties are presented, which show that the zeroreflection range of the horizontal field is larger than that of the vertical fields, and the better the material, the larger the zeroreflection field.

The plans consist of a pair of inclined opposite fields and an oblique angle field with wedge filter. The various parameters were processed by the computer, and the isodose curve diagrams were drawed and compared Advantages of this design are as follows: dose distribution in the target volume is homogeneous, not' only the death doses at the tumor region of lung and mediastinum are achieved, but also the doses at spinal cord and health lung and sternum are markedly decreased or even zero.
