Changes in growth and development of cotton associated with nectarilessgenes were measured at two locations in Wuhan in 1984. Near-isogenic linesused were developed in two genetic backgrounds through backcrossing(3 times)and selfing (4 times) programs. The number of squares, bolls and sheddingswas counted during its growth season. The results showed that the growthpattern of nectariless plants was similar to that of its normal plants.

采用经测验为近等基因系的两个BC_3群体研究无蜜腺对棉花生长发育的影响,结果表明,有蜜腺和无蜜腺近等基因系的生长发育进展基本上是相似的。
