Debris Flow is a common natural phenomenon that occurs suddenly in mountain areas in China. Determining the hazardous intensity and regionalizing debris flow risk zone are significant to mitigate debris flow hazards. This paper discussed the formative environment and distribution laws of debris flows in China as well as hazardous intensity. Based on the regional principles of natural environment characteristics, debris flow forming conditions and distributive laws in China, the risk areas of debris flow in China can be regionalized into four major areas and fifteen subareas. The major areas are as following:Ⅰ. Major area of extremely dangerous disaster of debris flows at Indian Ocean Basin in southwest of China Ⅱ. Major area of most dangerous disaster of debris flows at Pacific Ocean Basin in Southeast of China Ⅲ. Major area of middle dangerous disaster of debris flows at Pacific Ocean Basin in northeast of China Ⅳ. Based on analyzing natural environment characteristics of different producing runoff and producing sediment regions in the Yellow River basin,principles and indexes of determining more sediment and coarse sediment region have been mainly discussed and area of more sediment and coarse sediment region is calculated.It is to research coupling relations among different producing runoff and sediment regions in the Yellow River basin and runoff and sediment in the middle reaches of the Yellow River.Ratio that producing runoff volume and sediment delivery occupy total runoff and sediment in the four stations(Huaxian,Zhuangtou,Longmen and Hejin)are calculated,they are that producing annual runoff volume and sediment delivery occupy total runoff and sediment in four stations of the Yellow River 12.9% and 63.4% respectively,in which 87% of coarse sediment in the four stations comes from the more sediment and coarse sediment region.Controlling more sediment and coarse sediment region is a key for reducing sediment of four stations.It is estimated that controlling 10 000 km 2 more sediment and coarse sediment region can reduce 8% of total sediment and 10% coarse sediment respectively.

在分析黄河流域不同产水产沙区自然环境特征的基础上,论述了黄河多沙粗沙区界定的原则、指标,最后给出了多沙粗沙区面积;建立了流域各产水产沙区与中游来水来沙耦合关系的多元回归模型;计算了多沙粗沙区的产水产沙量对中游四站来水来沙的贡献率。即:多沙粗沙区的年产水量只占黄河四站总水量的12.9%,年产沙量占四站总来沙量的63.4%,其中四站的粗泥沙量约87%是来自多沙粗沙区。今后加大多沙粗沙区的治理是减少四站来沙的关键,若多沙粗沙区治理1万km2,即可减少四站全沙量的8%,粗沙量的10%。
