Regional soil erosion is limited by a number of factors, including precipitation, relief, soil quality, vegetation and human activity. With reference to domestic and international work on the assessment of sensitivity to soil erosion and to the natural environment characteristics of Fujian Province, the primary influences on and sensitivity grades of soil erosion are determined. GIS software is utilized to index resulting data and to extrapolate soil erosion sensitivity analysis.

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is a widely mountainous and karst province,with intense soil erosion and fragile eco-environment.In the present study,Universal Soil Loss Equation(USLE) was used in conjunction with GIS Arc/Info to evaluate the soil erosion sensitivity in Guangxi.The indices were derived by processing spatial data and MODIS imagery,which included precipitation,topology,soil and vegetation coverage.According to the natural environment characteristics of Guangxi,the indices for soil erosion sensitivity were classified into five different degrees.Also,an integrated evaluation map of soil erosion sensitivity was drawn by overlapping function of GIS.The spatial characteristic of soil erosion sensitivity was clearly analyzed.Furthermore,the effective countermeasures controlling the soil erosion are discussed.

以通用土壤流失方程为基础,选择了降雨侵蚀力、地形起伏度、土壤质地和植被覆盖等自然因子作为土壤侵蚀敏感性的评价指标,根据广西自然环境特征,制定评价指标的分级标准,在GIS技术支持下,对广西的土壤侵蚀敏感性的影响因子的逐一分级评价和综合评价,明确了广西土壤侵蚀发生的可能程度和空间分布规律,并提出了有关水土保持对策。
