The recent progress in zinc materials was analyzed, and the way to develop zinc industry, such as developing environmental friendly zinc materials, cleaner production and comprehensive utilization of resources, is put forward.

The preparation process of bakelite/straw pole composite eco material has been studied in detail. The effection of preparation on electrical conductivity of the composite obtained has been investigated. Results show: by this process, the density and electrical conductivity of bakelite/straw pole composite eco material are as good as woodceramics, it is a new type of composite eco material.
