    The changes of coke properties in different parts of a B. F. have been discussed, particularly with regards to lower part of stack, softening-melting zone and the tuyere zone. By comparison, it is recognized that the deterioration of coke properties is more infiuenced by carbon-solution reaction than thermal and mechanical effects. It is difficult to evaluate accurate value of mass loss by carbon-solution, however, it could be estimated by the fixed carbon content of coke with some corrections. This estimated...

By comparison, it is recognized that the deterioration of coke properties is more infiuenced by carbon-solution reaction than thermal and mechanical effects. It is difficult to evaluate accurate value of mass loss by carbon-solution, however, it could be estimated by the fixed carbon content of coke with some corrections. This estimated value is well correlated with coke size degradation, drum strength decrease, alkali content and porosity increase. The estimated value could be used as a reference for studying those mechanisms relating to coke deterioration. It is concluded that with a certain degree of CO_2 reaction, both high stability of coke size and drum strength are essential for good blast furnace coke, which may be obtained by improvements in coke-making technology.

    On the basis of a great number of coal petrology documents available the paper gives a relatively systematic and complete description to petrographic characteristics and genesis types of coal in China from all coal-forming ages, and than an introduction about the applications of chinese coal petrology in the following fields: genesis of coal-forming materials, coal metamorphic and quality features, correlation of seams, coking technology, determination of preparability and liquescency, genetic-technical classification...

    On the basis of a great number of coal petrology documents available the paper gives a relatively systematic and complete description to petrographic characteristics and genesis types of coal in China from all coal-forming ages, and than an introduction about the applications of chinese coal petrology in the following fields: genesis of coal-forming materials, coal metamorphic and quality features, correlation of seams, coking technology, determination of preparability and liquescency, genetic-technical classification of bituminous coals, prediction of paleogeotherm and hydrocarbon-bearing areas, formation mechanism of coal formed gas as well as some problems existing in these fields. In general coal petrology, it was stated that work principally includes the classification and nomenclature of coal types and macerals, the study of their fundamental characteristics, and the establishment of their test methods and regulation standarts, Some suggestions are also made concerning the further development of chinese coal petrology. i. e, taking account of applied techniques, strengthenning summation of data, working out necessary programms and establishing norm standarts.

The research result is that the waste materials of the Baoshan Steel Plant, coal tar and the waste slag, can be insteaded the soft pitch for the coking process, and the quantity will be 1/4 of the all soft pitch.

    有效的粘结剂是配型煤炼焦工艺的主要关键之一。为寻找一种可部分替代软沥青的新型粘结剂,本文介绍了利用焦化厂废料作代用品的试验。研究自坩埚焦的炼焦实验开始,经7kg焦炉至200kg焦炉炼焦试验为止,分阶段逐步扩大试验,结果证明:利用宝钢焦化厂焦油渣等取代软沥青是可行的,其量可望达到目前全厂总需要量的四分之一。
