The tribological properties of the additive in water were evaluated with four balls friction tester. The elements on worn surfaces were analyzed by means of X - ray Photoelectron Spectroscope ( XPS), the EP & antiwear mechanism was discussed. The result shows that the additive has excellent load carrying capacity, antiwear and friction - reducing abilities in water. The lubrication mechanism is that the high strength adsorption film and/or tribochemical reaction film was formed on rubbing surfaces due to the carrier effect of the long chain rapeseed oil molecules, high reaction active nitrogen, electron - deficient boron and their synergism.

The morphologies of the worn surfaces were observed by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The worn surfaces of the Al2024 alloy block were analyzed by means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) to study the mechamism of the boron-nitrogen modified rapeseed oil for its frictions reduction and antiwear. The results showed that the modified rapeseed oil as additive can obviously decrease the wear rate and friction coefficient of steel-steel frictional pair and steel-aluminum frictional pair, because a high strength adsorption film and tribochemistry reaction film were formed on the worn surface of the Al alloy by the carrier effect of a long chain rapeseed oil, high reaction activities of nitrogen, electron-deficient of boron and their synergisms.

对菜籽油进行化学改性制备了硼-氮型改性菜籽油润滑添加剂(BNR),并利用红外光谱对其主要官能团进行了鉴定。分别采用四球和SRV摩擦磨损试验机,考察了以菜籽油为基础油、以BNR为添加剂时对钢-钢摩擦副和钢-铝摩擦副的抗磨减摩性能;用扫描电子显微镜观察分析钢球磨斑表面的形貌;同时通过对铝合金磨痕进行X射线光电子能谱分析,探讨了硼-氮型改性菜籽油润滑添加剂的抗磨减摩机理。结果表明,以硼-氮型改性菜籽油为添加剂、以菜籽油为基础油时,由于长链菜籽油分子的载体作用、氮的高反应活性、硼的缺电子性以及三者的协同作用,在金属摩擦表面形成一层高强度的吸附膜和摩擦化学反应膜,对钢-钢摩擦副和钢-铝摩擦副均表现出良好的抗磨减摩作用。
