Based on the analysis of mechanical characteristics of soil arching effect between adjacent anti-slide piles,some control conditions were provided to calculate critical spacing between adjacent piles. The rational calculation formula of spacing between adjacent piles was obtained. It supplied some references to theoretical calculation of the spacing between two piles and engineering practice.
