Presently, there are plenty of the methods of the skin color clustering and of the varieties of the clustering results. Some elementary problems of the features of skin color, such as the effect of hight source, of color constancy and of color space in which the skin color clustering is performed, are investigated in this paper. A new color space is constructed for the skin color clustering and the correlation between the mage data and the color of iluminants is introduced. It is proved that high lights and shading only changes the saturation of the skin color. In this framework, both the results of the skin color clustering and their applications in the facial detection and hand gesture recognition in complex background are presented.

A real-time algorithm for detecting faces in video images is presented, which is composed of the motion information and color information. First, three continuous video frames symmetrical differences are used to acquire the motion area of the moving objects. Then, on the base of the skin-color clustering model, search the faces in the motion area. The candidate face regions are examined with knowledge of human face. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has high speed and high efficiency, so it can be used in the real-time system.

给出了一种视频图像中的实时人脸检测方法,该方法综合了彩色视频图像的运动信息和颜色信息,可以快速地对图像中的人脸区域进行定位。算法通过对视频图像序列中每连续3帧图像进行对称差分,提取出运动区域;然后基于肤色聚类模型,再对运动区域进行肤色检测,经过候选人脸验证,最终定位图像中的人脸。实验表明,提出的方法检测速度快,实现简单、高效,满足实时系统的要求。

A method for human face detection under complex background is proposed on the basis of human vision mechanism and skin color clustering features. The method extracts the candidate human face area which contains human face and semblance human face from the input images by means of K-means dynamic clustering analysis algorithm and human skin color features. The candidate human face area will be scanned by the same method and the real human face can be obtained. The experimental results show that the correct detection ratio of the method can be up to 84%. The influence of background, light illumination, angle and altitude on detection is very small and the method has good robustness.

在人类视觉机制和肤色聚类特性的基础上,提出了一种复杂背景下人脸检测方法。该方法采用K-均值动态聚类分析算法,利用人类肤色特征在输入图像中检测包含人脸的似人脸区作为候选人脸,再用同样的方法对候选人脸区域进行扫描,得到真正的人脸。实验结果表明,该方法的正确检出率达到84%,受背景、光照、角度、姿态的影响很小,具有较好的鲁棒性。
