Therefore, in LEACHEX reactor solid (catalyst size of 0.5 to 1.2 mm), aqueous phase(HCl and H_2O_2) and organic solvent are mixed together and undergo chemical change andmaterial transport, Process variables influencing the percentage recovery of vanadium were studied in athree mouth round bottom flask in laboratory and it was found that when HCl of 8 M,solvent composed of 80% TBP and 20% kerosene, and phase ratio of solid: aqueous:orga-nic=3(kg):50(1):50(1), at a temperature of 60℃ under moderate agitation were used, %leaching and % extraction would reach 99 and 97 respectively in 15 minutes. Aside from vanadium and SiO_2(catalyst carrier), there may be Fe, As, etc. present inthe spent catalyst and they may also enter the solvent. Separations of V from Fe and Ascan be achieved by using stripping liquids of different acidities. It is observed that under appropriate operating conditions the separations of phases atthe end of interaction i. e. solid from solvent and solvent from aqueous, are excellent andfree from mutual entrainment.

Precipitation polymerization of acrylic acid in supercritical CO 2 is studied. The effect of the temperature, the pressure of CO 2, the concentration of the monomer and the initiator ae explored. It shows that the decrease of the concentration of the monomer, the increase of the pressure of CO 2, the decrease of the temperature of the increase of the concentration of the initiator will all decrease the molecular weight of the product. The scanning electron micrographs indicate that the water soluble polyacrylic acid powder obtained from this experiment is formed by primary particles of about 1~2 μm size. In addition, the pressure increases with the increasing of the yield, it is speculated to be due to the separation of phases during polymerization.
