By analyzing the stiffness and thermal stresses in composite laminate, a specimen staking sequence for measuring the mode Ⅲ fracture toughness of multi-directional interface in composite material laminate is given. The split cantilever beam test method is modified to make it easy to use for measuring the mode Ⅲ fracture toughness. The mode Ⅲ fracture toughness of multi-directional interface in S2/648 glass fiber reinforced epoxy composite is investigated and analyzed. The results show that for the S2/648 composite there exists fiber bridging effect in the unidirectional interface,and its mode Ⅲ fracture toughness increases linearly with the increment of the crack in the begining and becomes invariable latter. But for multi-directional interface no fiber bridging effect is observed and the mode Ⅲ fracture toughness is independent of the interfacial angle.

通过对多向层合板刚度和热弹性的分析,给出了适于测量复合材料多向层间Ⅲ型分层断裂韧性的试样铺层;改进了裂口悬臂梁测试方法的试验夹具,使其简单可靠且易于操作。实验研究了S2/648玻璃纤维增强环氧复合材料多向层间(0/θ)的Ⅲ型分层断裂韧性,结果表明:对所研究的复合材料,其单向层间的Ⅲ型分层断裂有纤维架桥效应,断裂韧性G(ⅢC)先随裂纹扩展线性增加,而后趋于常值;而多向层间(0/θ)的Ⅲ型分层断裂韧性则没有明显的纤维架桥效应,且断裂韧性G 的测试值与层间参数θ没有明显的相关性。
