A number of different catalysts of Fe-K-Carrier system of various components and composition was prepared and their ammonia synthesis activity was measured in a flowing system. Samples of the system: Active carbon (Ac)-Ferrlc oxalate-metallic potassium showed comparativly high catalytic activity, surpassing those of the present industrial fused iron catalyst and the so-called EDA coordination compound catalyst measured under similar conditions. In those catalysts which showed high activity the role of metallic potassium as a promoter is significant. On the basis of the possible promotion action of potassium, preliminary ideas concerning the site of activation of N_2, the mechanism of ammonia synthesis and the equation of reaction rate have been proposed and discussed.

Results of ultraviolet spectrum analysis, sucrose gradient ultracentrifugation and protein synthesis activity in wheat-germ cell-free system showed that the polysomes maintained their integrity with rather high protein synthesis activity. The RNase inhibitor was isolatedf rom the postpolysomal supernatant and partially purified, its specific activity being increased to more than 100-fold. Addition of RNase inhibitor to the wheat-germ translation system resulted in a significant increase in the template activities of polysomes and polysomal RNA.

The results obtained in the present experiment showed that oral administration of MH for once at the early stage and daily continuously in th fifth instar larvae can enhance apparently the activity of the fibroin synthesis in the postrior portion of the silk gland and the protein synthesis in the fat body, but inhibit the activity of the skein synthesis in the middle divison of the silkgland and the protein synthesis in the midgut, which provide direct evidence for elucidating that the MH can regulate the protein synthesis of Bombyx mori.

用3H-甘氨酸参入法研究了家蚕五龄幼虫丝腺、脂肪体和中肠等器官白质合成活性的动态变化及蜕皮激素(简称MH)的影响。研究结果表明,五龄前期一次添食和每天连续添食MH能显著提高后部丝腺丝心蛋白和脂肪体蛋白质的合成活性,而抑制中肠蛋白质和五龄中后期中部丝腺丝胶蛋白的合成活性。此结果,为阐明MH对蚕体蛋白质合成的调控作用提供了直接的证据。
