The fungus was successfully isolated from diseased tissues by the surface sterilization with 0.1% HgCl_2 solution 0.5 minute,70% alcohol one mi- nute and washing with sterile water 7~8times.The favour tempera- ture for growth is 20~25℃.pH value lies 4~8.In germination,the pycnidiospores germinate from one end or both.Sometime at the apex of the germ tube devolops a dark irragular shaped appresoria.The optimum temperature for the spore germination is approximately 25℃,but the spore may germinate well at 13℃.The multicellular pycnidiospoces germi- nate better than small numbered celled or 1-celled spores.The pathoge- nicity of the fungus to Narcissus leaves was proved by the inoculation with conidium suspersion,mycelinum block and diseased tissue segment, when artificial wound inoculations or without wound inoculations were done.

作者报道了水仙叶大褐斑病的分布、危害性、症状和病原菌的研究结果。此病在上海崇明地区危害相当严重,感染指数30~80。病叶可提前4~8周枯死。初次侵染多发生于水仙叶尖端,褐色枯焦,再次侵染在叶和花梗上,叶片边缘及中部均可发生。病斑圆形、纺锤形、半圆形,褐色,周围发黄,严重时整叶枯死。病原菌与 Creager D.B.报道相符,为 Stagonospora curtisii(Berk)Sacc.分生孢子器球形或扁球形。分生孢子无色,圆筒形,单细胞或多细胞,变异甚大。以0.1%升汞水消毒0.5分钟,70%酒精消毒1分钟或无菌水洗8~9次表面消毒,均可分离培养成功。病原菌在20%水仙煎汁+2%蔗糖+2%琼脂培养基生长最好,而 PDA 培养基上比 PSA 培养基生长要好。此菌生长适温20~25℃,孢子萌发适温25℃,但13℃仍可萌发。多细胞孢子萌发好。病菌在 pH 4~8时均生长良好。以孢子悬浮液、菌丝块及病叶块进行接种试验,证明了此菌的致病性。
