In the diagrams, the standardized density control curves were made by the equations which were fitted by the maximum density—volume data obtained from the materials in the experiment stands for tending felling. The equation ,M_(?)=A_1·N_(?)~(-B_1) ,was used for maximum density curves. The equations, M~(-1)=A_1+B_1·N~(-1) and M~(-1)=A_2+B_2·N~(-1), were used for equivalent diameter and height CurVes respectively, and M=A_1·(B_1+1)·[B_1/(B_1+1)]~(-B_1)·(1-N/N_0)·N~(-B_1) for natural thinning curves, as well as M_(?)=P·M_(?) for equivalent stocking density curves. The accuracy of the diagrams is very high, 95.4% for equivalent height curves and 93.4% for equivalent diameter curves.

This paper deals with the effectiveness of H-HA models, D-H models and maximum density-D models of Chinese fir and Masson pine, making use of computerized simulation tests. The results showed that the simulation test precisions of the models reached up 99.0%, and P {R>R*}> 85.0%. The population correlation coefficients and the forecasting effectiveness of the models were satisfactory.
