As biological hard tissue, alveolar bone undertake bone remodeling by orthodontic force, osteoblasts and osteoclasts are specialized cells responsible for this process.
Methods The orthodontic tooth movement of right upper molars was performed in four-week(juvenile)and 24-week(adult)SD rats. The expression of RANKL protein was detected by immunohistochemical staining technique at 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 14 d after applying orthodontic force and 21 d(removing applied orthodontic force at 14 d).
Conclusion Good anchorage control, proper orthodontic force and sufficient reduction of spee curve might lead to an effective application of edgewise appliance.
2) The contents of MEK was measured at the end of 1h,6h,24h and 72h after supplying orthodontic force of 100g to incisor of rat. Results: 1) MEK concentrations decreased significantly caused by orthodontic force in the experimental teeth compared with controls, and had a statistically significant inverse correlation to the amount of applied force.
Conclusion Different tension stress patterns take different effects on the secretion of MMP-9. It may play a very important role in choosing the best orthodontic force in clinic.
Orthodontic appliance was placed between the maxillary right first molar and maxillary central incisors of rat.Immunohistochemistry and image analyses were performed at 0,1,3,5,7,14,21,28 days after orthodontic force application.
First, using excessive orthodontic force, leads to unwanted movements of the anchor teeth and increasing the risk of damage to the roots of the teeth.
It is proved that Ti-Ni-Cu alloy castings produce effective orthodontic force as well as stable low residual deflection, which is likely to be caused by the high and sharp thermal peaks during phase transformation.
It was revealed that, by transforming the wire cross-section of the hollow super-elastic Ti-Ni alloy round wires, anisotropic orthodontic force in bending properties could be obtained with super-elasticity.
As a verified by cantilever test and three-point bending test of the transformed specimens, a two-dimensional orthodontic force, which was different in each bending direction, was obtained.
Anisotropic orthodontic force from the hollow super-elastic Ti-Ni alloy wire by transforming the wire cross-section
Spatial motion of a tooth produced by orthodontic forces is discussed in this paper. Rotation center and resistance center of the tooth are computed from parameters obtained by observing fringe patterns on five chosen points.
This paper presents a method of measuring 3 D minute displacement field of cranio-facial bone by speckle photography.Multiple specklegrams are used in this method.Real spatialdisplacement is computed by the measurement of in-plane translations perpendicular to some viewingdirections and the use of projection transformation relation of the displacement vector. As a cal-culating example, the initial reaction of craniofacial bone produced by orthodontic forces is mea-sured.The experimental results are in agreement...

In our experment through the methods of histochemistry and the techniques of incorporation of tetracyline, we emphatically explored the changes and mechanism that alveolar bone respond to mechanical force, especially study the changes of alveolar bone adjacent to the hyalinizecl area. The rcsnlts suggest; orthodontic forces inhabited alkaline phosphatase activity and tetracyline complex on the bone surfaces in the pressure zones of the periodontal member depending on magnitude of the force,the...
In our experment through the methods of histochemistry and the techniques of incorporation of tetracyline, we emphatically explored the changes and mechanism that alveolar bone respond to mechanical force, especially study the changes of alveolar bone adjacent to the hyalinizecl area. The rcsnlts suggest; orthodontic forces inhabited alkaline phosphatase activity and tetracyline complex on the bone surfaces in the pressure zones of the periodontal member depending on magnitude of the force, the change was associated with inhibited bone formation and subsequent initiation of bone resorption. The intense alkaline phosphatase activity and tetracycline was found on the tension sids with low force. There was no change in group of high forces. It suggested that bone formation was associated with the value of force.
