The 3 conclusions were summed up after the runoff,sediment yield,sediment transport rate,the biggest capacity of preserving water and soil were investigated according to the data of the orientation observation about benefit of soil and water conservation of the different forest area types in the red soil regions in South Hunan.First,the coefficient of runoff on the CK land is 1.04~1.21 times than that of woodland, and the coefficient of runoff on the land with better forest is smaller than that on the land with bad forest.Second,the sediment yield and sediment transport rate on the CK land are 2.80~3.73 times and 2.58~3.26 times than that of woodland,and sediment yield and sediment transport rate on the land with better forest are smaller than that on the land with bad forest.Third,although the protecting forest in the red soil regions in the South Hunan is young growth,the capacity of preserving water is 1.56~3.08 times than that of CK land, the effects of preserving soil reached 3 860 t/(km 2·a)~4 390 t/(km 2·a).

通过对湘南丘陵区不同林分类型涵水保土效益的定位观测 ,分别对林地的产流量、产沙量、输沙率、最大涵水能力及保土效果进行了探讨 ,发现 :1CK坡面的地表径流系数比有林地的地表径流系数要大 1.0 4~ 1.2 1倍、林分质量越好的林地坡面的径流系数比林分质量较差的林地坡面的径流系数要小 ;2 CK坡面的产沙量、输沙率比有林地的产沙量、输沙率要大 2 .80~ 3.73倍、2 .5 8~ 3.2 6倍 ;林分质量越好的林地坡面的比林分质量较差的林地坡面的产沙量、输沙率要小 ;3湘南红壤区长江防护林的各种林分类型虽然还处于幼龄林阶段 ,但其林地的保土、涵水能力还是比较强的 ,其林地土壤的涵水能力为 CK的 1.5 6~ 3.0 8倍、保土能力在 386 0 t/ (km2 · a)~ 4 390 t/(km2 · a)之间
