This paper reports a simple method for direct spectrophotometric determination of indium. At pH 3.0-3.7) indium, dibromoalizarin violet and cetylerimethylammonium bromide form a blue ternary complex, the maximum absorption is at 610 nm.The method is highly selective and has been used for the determination of indium with satisfactory results.
