Because it depends on several parameters related to testing conditions ( scratching speed, loading rate) and to coating-substrate system (coating thickness, substrate hardness) , the validity has been doubted in recent years. A new approach for evaluating adhesion of hard tribologjcal coatings by erosion has been developed. The effects of particle size, hard- ness and velocities of abrasives (Si02, SiC, A1203) on erosion rate of hard coatings (Ti-N, Ti-B-N, Ti-C-N) -substrates (low carbon steel, low alloy steel, high speed steel) systems had been investigated. That the crushed A12O3 stream in 80* mesh -with velocity of 40m/s shot from a nozzle in diameter of 2mm to impact vertically the target is proposed as a standard operating condition. The exposure rate of substrate vs abrasive dosage during erosion test was determined by SEM-EDX and optical microscope quantitatively. The linear relationship between exposure rate of substrate and abrasive dose has been observed from beginning to end of removal of coatings. The incubation dose relat ed t o coat ing thickness is expressed by abrasive weight to start the exposure of substrate and the critical dose is defined by the lowest amount which cause the removal of coating from substrate fully. The results show that:

作者利用入射速度为40m/s的80~#和100~#白刚玉砂冲击超硬质膜,测定入射粒子量与膜剥离之间的定量关系,确定造成底材开始显露所需的粒子用量(孕育剂量)和冲蚀坑中心部位的膜全部剥离时的最低粒子用量(临界剂量),并以两者之差作为判据,收到了与划痕法通过临界载荷评价膜-底材结合强度的同样效果。试验结果证明,孕育剂量与膜厚呈正变关系,因而通过它可以先求出膜厚,再求出剥离单位厚度膜层所消耗的粒子量(线冲蚀系数),并用其作为膜-底材结合强度的判据,可以扣除膜厚的影响。作者认为,冲蚀法的主要优点是设备简单、操作方便、取样面积大、代表性好,能为各类薄膜工艺提供可信的判据。

Adding metal in the plasma spraying ceramic thermal barrier coating material, the bind strength can be improved, the stress concentration and cracks extension can be decreased and the service life of the coating is thus increased. The sound emission monitor shows that microcrack has a great influence on the heat-shock and the cracks are develeped with the frequency of the sound emission.

Acoustic emission monitoring and safe evaluation for heat-cracking reaction tower under hydraulic testing condition was performed by means of a 32—Channal AE Systen-spartan from PAC. The result provides the scientific basis for safe operation of extended service equipment and shows a vast vistas for the site application on AE technology.
