In this paper \$V(f)={f(x)|x∈D,P(f)={t∈R|x±t∈D\$ for \$x∈D\$ and \$f(x+t)=f(x)}\$, which is called as the periodic group of function \$f(x)\$.Our goal is to discuss how to make use of periodic group \$P(f)\$ of function \$f(x)\$ to characterize the periodicity of \$f(x)\$,and we prove the following interesting result :. \$P(f)=∩a∈V(f)P(f\+\{-1\}(a)).\$\;
