The toxicity of four pesticides to Aphis gossypii Glover in Hibiscus syriacus L. was measured in the laboratory using the immersion method. The results indicate that these pesticides are highly effective in controlling this pest.The relative order of toxicity of the pesticides tested was as follows: abamectin> imidacloprid>fenpropathrin>fenvalerate.We recommend that A. gossypii should be controlled on overwindering host.
