Particularly, the transversal filters, implemented by CCD and SAW devices in sample analog and analog forms, have higher speed of transform, higher packing density and lower power consumption. This paper summarizes the various linear transforms which can be implemented by transversal filters, including chirpz transform, sliding chirpz transform, prime transform, discrete cosine transform, discrete cosine prime transform and two dimensional chirpz transform. They simplify the structure and reduce the clock pulses numbers to three. Two of them are the same as those of the ordinary two phase CCD.This is of great significance for combining CCD memory with DCCL to develop a monolithic signal processing system. A 2word 2bit adder has been fabricated using conventional MOS technology.
